About Us
Hope from an inspiring community has always driven the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to innovate. Demand for better, longer lives for people with cystic fibrosis led to a pioneering venture philanthropy model and a robust scientific infrastructure that catalyzed transformative treatments once thought impossible, prolonging life for many.
But we have more to do. There is currently no cure for CF.
Today’s treatments, though remarkable, do not benefit everyone — between 10% and 15% of people are either ineligible or cannot take these medications because of side effects. Even among those who do benefit from current CF medications, far too many confront hard-to-treat infections and other disease complications.
We know it takes more than funding to achieve a breakthrough. That’s why we developed an unparalleled ecosystem of support for scientists, innovators, and companies driven to change lives for the better.
